If you want it to never come off, you can use MT-13, Loc-tite bearing assist might also work if the fuel doesn't attack it.

I've had the chance to put a fair bit of time on an .074 in the last year. It's been a real winner for me even though it hasn't "woken up" like some here say theirs do when the piston/liner fit wears...

Not really. If you are playing with smaller props the older engines are said to be a teeny bit faster.

I've got a near new PAW .061 diesel sitting here on my desk that has fantastic compression, and it leaks air when I pull it over slowly too.

For me, it's a question of what my time is worth and what it takes to make me happy. If you enjoy 1/2A's more than larger models or electrics, then keep at it. If you can enjoy modeling without 1/2A...

If you absolutely have to have stock Norvel .074 heads, they do pop up on "That Great Auction Site" now and again...... For $30+ a piece!

If you don't mind a long wait, order a Hypercolor Turbo...

Any Hobby Shop can order you APC props for your motor. They are pretty cheap, so I'd get all of the common sizes:

6-3
5.7-3
5.5-2
5-3

etc.
