I would strongly suggest PPG brand with an HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) paint gun. Any plane that I have seen that has had an outstanding paint job was painted with PPG. Let me encourage...

The plane is looking great. Couple of things:
For paint for plane go with PPG.
For your landing gear door hinges check out www.bvmjets.com. They have small hinges for gear doors.

Are you getting the instruments from hobby lobby? The yokes they sell have the cessna logo on them. I have a pair in my cessna 182.

Instead of LiPo's try the A123 2300 MAh packs. They do not need a regulator, they charge in as little as 15 minutes, and can be charged up to 1000 times before...

Try http://www.sierragiant.com. They do some AMAZING work and can custom make any gear you need. I have a set a gear from him for my Balsa USA 1/3rd scale Stearman and they are a work of art.
