the air fill valve is between the tank and the control valve. so air is suppose to go direct into the tank, but with the small amount of opening which is about 1/32 or less is not much opening to get...

i have a couple of freon cans laying around. going to solder and air vale into one of them and a nipple to run the air lines to and see if that will work. will let you know.
