Danville Battledays May 25-27

I and my wife had a great time and a big thanks go out to Jeff and Dave for their help. I was rusty and had an ailing shelf queen of a tank that hadn't seen action in 5 years and an old fart of a one since it was built in 2005.
But, reservations were made for next month, find a way to transport 'the answer' to the battle field and finish my G1 Jagdpanther and the results will be MUCH batter!
I only decided Thursday night to leave the next morning and stayed up late to oil the M26 gearbox but I found out it had an elevation issue matched with a few others after it hit the dirt.
BUT we had fun and everyone was so kind after we arrived and Doug helped get my radio situation out so it definitely did rekindle the passion for me because I was in a rut. I did see some new displays that were really worth taking another look at again next time. Lots of new tankers there that seemed to have been brought up right and one young man I spoke with new everything he needed to do with his projects.
Thats awesome to see that the future is in good hands there.

Glad you made reservations for next month and are coming back.
Hopefully, we will have the same number of tankers or more (28 total).
It will be warm in the museum, so be prepared to sweat!
