This is a really great event that I look forward to all year. Wonderful facility, friendly folks, what more could you ask for? Even bringing some fellow Canadians in search of warm weather this year. And my Top Gun bird fresh from the paint shop....

Thank you Jim:
Can't wait to see the new finish on your gorgeous plane. Also thank you so much for the terrific JPO Trophy. The Jet Pilots Organization really supports our Jet Events, just ask them.
Lot's of guys out already are here they love flying at our sea level field. Planes really perform down here, by the way sea level runs straight thru the middle of our runway, try it you will like it.
See you this weekend.

Hey Jim that plane looks great, I hope I get a chance to see it.

Dan you are 100% right, the dense air there at sea level is amazing. Hope to see you guys on Friday.

Great to hear your coming Matt. Lots of flying today with Neal Smileys new Skymaster F-16. It flew beautifully on its maiden flight.

See you Friday

I'll be there tomorrow. Got stuck at home doing some unavoidable things here. Hopefully I can still knock out the waiver flight.

Hi Doug
Just got home from the field.... Lots of Motor Homes and some really beautiful BIG Jets.
All is in place for a wonderful day of flying this weekend.
I am sure we can get that flight in early in the morning. The official start time is 9.

Ken,
For some reason I don't see any pictures of the cougar. Hope you take some of the F18! Wish I could be down there!

Hi Kevin,

Got 5 flights on the new Cougar. Flys great, but had some gear mounting plate issues. It’s holding for now. Need to make a perfect landing every time otherwise it may not be repairable at the field.

F-18 twin ready to go for Saturday.

I’ll see if I can upload some pictures when I get back.

I registered as pilot 28 on Friday. Feels and looks like so many more here. Largest sized group of jets I’ve seen at a meet I think ever.

Weather is fantastic here!

To Everyone who came,,,,, Thank you!

We had a very very successful Jet Event over this past weekend. Over 40 pilots from 4 states came and they logged over 200 flights. We had a great crowd of spectators too, the tours thru the pits were really appreciated by the General Public too. It made for some great public awareness too. The planes just get bigger and more detailed every year. Beautiful aircraft.

Top Gun Award went to Neal Smiley for flying his incredible 1/6 scale SkyMaster F-18,, What a treat and a thrill. Way to go Neal.

A huge thank you to Paul and Pat Stenberg from Zap Glue.

Futaba Team Pilot Neal Smiley who paid for the pilots lunches, and bought lots Auction items too, some he just gave away. What a nice man and a world class modeler.

Barry Hou for auction items from King Tech

Dirk Flejter for 2 - $500 off certificates for the new Sparrow Jet from Pacific RC Jets. Plus more auction items as well.

Jet Pilots Org who provided the Top Gun Trophy, Jim McEwen facilitated that.

Rob Thomas for the Cortex Gyro with programming cord, he is the owner of our new local Rise Up Hobbytown hobby shop. He show cased his building skills and got a lot of build orders from the Leonardo that is close to being finished. Planes done right call Rob 760-406-1565 He booked over 20 builds over the next year from the pilots.

Details for Scale was here, Marvin and Grace brought Wounded Warrior hats and shirts too. They showcased the new F-16 Nozzle that features operation thrust feathers

Not all the pictures from the Jet Jam are on our web site yet but you can view what we do have so far. There is also an album for a video taken at the Jet Jam by a guest. He did a great job.

The link below will take you to the photos page of our web site. When you get to the photos page you can click on the link that says "Click here to go to the photo albums" Our pictures are stored in Flickr in various albums by events.
