They call it a "fuel jet" but there is no parts # for it, what I can see. Just contact NV and hopefully they can help you out.

Looking for a bit of help here. I'm having some difficulty registering and ordering from the NV Engines web site. Is the site up and running, and is NV still open for business? Thanks for whatever enlightenment any Norvel-head can provide.

As a follow-up, I was able to contact NV Engines and place an order. The email I used for Alex was [email protected]

I used a YS ( Chinese) tuned pipe with no change to the engine and got an extra 2K over the stokc, muffled engine. When it came on the pipe, the sound was AWWSOME.

Yes I have a CS .8 to 1cc pipe could try too the Profi pipe is similar to it very light weight a bit more dia. can recommend.
Here is a bench run of my set up shows a bolt on sportwerkz header worked out very well with the Norvel and AP .06
Really the prop is too big to run on the pipe statically but needed to know how the engine would handle the load of
the beefy APC 5x3 after the flight test with the 4.2x4 I was looking at more thrust potential.

Published on Aug 13, 2015
Reads from 23.5k average to best 23,740 rpm using a audio tach. 16oz thrust / 68 mph pitch speed / .18 HP / 134w
4.8k - 5.2k idle noted after the review with settings dialed in for lower readings using the RPM app.

And the AP with a bit longer MRP for best static on the ground.

Published on Jun 13, 2015

AP .061 Wasp on a Profi 1/2A tuned pipe with a Sportwerks header pipe.
Best noted peak 26.3k rpm / engine is new and has about 3oz of fuel ran thru it.
APC 4.2 x 4 / 122w / 99.6mph / 10oz thrust / 20% castor 25% nitro. Spins a APC 4.5x4 at 23.47k

And flight vid to confirm unloaded results.

Published on Jun 28, 2015

Skorch Flying - AP .061 - Profi 1/2A Tuned Pipe Best pass noted so far 24,793 rpm on the pipe APC 4.5x4 / 94mph
Tuned pipe length set for 25k unloaded (9.8in) from center of the convergent cone to the piston face. 5ch plane 11.8oz less fuel.
Static peak 22,609 rpm / .136hp -102w / 9.3 oz thrust / 86 mph pitch speed.

Red face What's up

What 1/2A engines are folks using for sport flying now that Norvel, and Cox TeeDees, are out of the picture ?? Mos folks I know are using old versions of those engines but they will eventually wear out/die out. It's hard for a company to start up these days in competition with electrics so I suspect their probably won't be anyone new come along. !/2A diesels are popular in Europe and the U.K. but they are a tough sell in this country. Will Brodak small engines take over ? They will have to have their supplier up their game a bit. CS of China has the expertise, manufacturing capacity and ability to take over this market but will they ? How about your thoughts?

Cox International still sells the Cox stuff and reproduces some of the easier stuff. Norvel Engines are still sold under the NV Engines name. I can see the days being numbered though. An OS LA .15 here is $140 at the hobby shop.here. Profi and Fora make .049s and .15s and some others. They are very good and really not crazy expensive considering the rising OS price, and the better Russian/Ukraniaan designs and quality.

I cannot find an address for this company and wondering if anyone ordered new products (June 2021) from NV Engines (formerly Norvel) and if so, what was your experience?

Here's the website. Don't see an address on there. Airplane engines Never dealt with them, heard different stories, most, but not all good, some delays etc.
